The second day in Venice was booked for exploring and getting lost. 🙂 The day started at the Rialto food market. The market is definitely something not to be missed. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruit that all taste delicious. Something fun to do is buy fruit and eat it straight from the food stands.

Our plan for the day was to explore and get lost. Since you need a final destination even when you are just exploring and getting lost, we aimed to find this special organic ice-cream place that I had read about in the tour guide. After 2 hours of walking all around Venice, getting lost multiple times – we made it. We found our ice-cream place and it was totally worth it. 🙂

The rest of the day we spent exploring the other part of Venice and trying to get away from the crowd. We found a fantastic restaurant on a quiet secluded terrace with an amazing view, on the top of hotel Danieli. It goes without saying that we spent hours enjoying the atmosphere and the view. Make sure to check out this place when in Venice.

Since it was scorching hot I decided to wear something heat appropriate. I was so glad to wear one of my favorite t-shirts at the moment. I think it was a good contrast to the quite romantic setting we were in.:)

P.S. Just a small hint – Never go shoes shopping after you have been walking for 3 days straight. I felt like Cinderella’s stepsisters while trying to fit my feet into a pair of espadrilles at Chanel store.:)
