We have just made it to Iceland today. Our first stop was Blue Lagoon where we are staying for the 2 nights. My first words when I saw this were that I must have died and went to heaven.:) If not this is definitely the closest I will get to the heaven. 🙂

This place is surreal. There are absolutely no words to describe it. Ever since we landed it was constant overload of excitement that even though we have traveled for many hours and haven’t really slept the night before I am so energized.

The Blue Lagoon is just supreme. It is a geothermal spa. Today we went for a very nice dinner with a beautiful view and after that we took a bath in the lagoon. Since we are staying at the hotel we had an opportunity to use the private part of the lagoon. It was so much fun dipping into warm water while outside it is below 0 Celsius and relaxing under the stars light. There is also a special mud that you can use for your face and body and it was so much fun to turn our faces white.

We ended our night by chasing the Northern lights in our pyjamas. We literally just changed to our pyjamas and planned on hanging out in the room when we got a call from the reception that the Aurora Borealis is visible from the hotel area and I ran out in my socks wearing my pyjamas and just managed to put the jacket on. 🙂 But it was totally worth it! 🙂 It looked so surreal.
