Our second day in LA was booked for a visit to the two most iconic parts of the city for me – Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive. I was so looking forward to checking out these neighborhoods that I couldn’t wait for the day to start.
First on our agenda was the well known Sunset Boulevard. The feeling of walking down this street is amazing. Getting to see all the famous places as House of Blues, Laugh Factory and many others that made their mark in creating the entertainment scene as we know it, felt totally surreal. I guess it goes without saying that we had Under the Bridge and Californication playing in the car all the time. And what else could I choose to wear for a visit to Sunset Boulevard than the Guns N’ Roses t- shirt.:)
After our visit to Sunset Boulevard we started heading to our next location. Once when we started driving down the Beverly Hills area I again had one of those moments when my heart was literally about to stop out of all the excitement. I seriously don’t know how I survived this trip with all these close calls all the time. 🙂
As a child I was a HUGE fan of Beverly Hills, 90210 TV show. I watched absolutely every episode, even the rerun later in the day. I was absolutely obsessed with everything related to this TV show, characters, places, theme.. I so wanted to dress like Kelly. I was even writing down what Kelly was wearing so I wouldn’t forget. 🙂 I told you I was a huge fan. I guess we all had one TV show that we absolutely loved as kids. So, it def doesn’t come as a surprise that I couldn’t believe that I’m finally there, driving down the streets and going shopping at Rodeo Drive as my heroes from when I was small.
After spending my first day in LA, I could already tell that being in this city feels like being in the movies all the time. Apart from seeing all the familiar locations everywhere around you, places that you saw in the TV shows or movies, there are also all the signs about the shooting that is going on in the city that day. So you would be walking down the street and see people shooting a movie or a TV show. It is so common that after few times you stop noticing it.
Hope you will enjoy some of the photos I took during this very exciting day! 🙂
