After 4 days of almost no sleep in Las Vegas, it was time to recuperate and get on the road. So after partying until 7am (at the gentlemen’s club, where else:), after all it was Las Vegas we are talking about) taking a short 2 hours nap, we were on a road towards Los Angeles and we couldn’t have been more excited and a bit tired. 🙂
Our initial plan was to go to Palm Springs and Joshua National park but since the theme of this trip was being spontaneous once when we saw a sign for a ghost town, we couldn’t help but make a small detour. It was very interesting to visit a town that used to be very rich and prosperous due to silver mining and has since turned into a ghost town because the value of the silver went down significantly. It felt like being in some Western movie.
Of course we had to also stop for some food and out of the many diners on the road, our choice was Peggy Sue’s Diner which feels like going back in time to how it was in the 50’s.
Driving to LA from Las Vegas was def an amazing experience. Most of it was freeway but on occasion we would take a detour and drive through the places and towns that look totally deserted with only a few houses.
I enjoyed taking the photos along the way. Hope you will enjoy looking at them as well!
Let the fun road trip begin.:)
