This is a post dedicated to the most cozy time of the year – Christmas. 🙂 First of all I would like to wish Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone who celebrate it today.
Even though I have been celebrating Christmas on the 7th of January my whole life and in a different manner, the way Christmas is celebrated in Denmark definitely grew on me. I like the approach the Danes have: it becomes a big count down that starts somewhere in the mid of November. I love that is all about having cozy time with your friends and family, doing things together such as making delicious brown cookies that I’m so addicted to. 🙂
I also absolutely enjoy Christmas spirit that is all over the town and it is so contagious. There are such nice decorations everywhere, in all the shops and the cafes and the whole city smells of my favorite drink – gløgg, æbleskiver (dough like pancake with pieces of apples inside) and caramelized almonds. 🙂 It is so cozy to be in the city during this time of the year.
One of my favorite things about Danish Christmas is Danish traditional dinner, that consists of flæskesteg (the most delicious pork dish), ris a la mand, red cabbage, and of course potatoes with brown sauce. So delicious…… Mmmmmm….
These are some of the photos I took during the month of coziness, also known as December. 🙂
P.S. Big thanks to all my friends who made this December so cozy and joyful. 🙂 Special thanks for hosting a delicious Danish Christmas dinner.
